Birds of a Feather Flock Together by Nova Giovanni

We’ve all heard the saying, but how many of us have actually LISTENED to it? Show me your three closest friends, and I’ll show you who YOU are. It is said that to increase your chances of success you must be at the right place at the right time – with the right PEOPLE. If your friends are engage you in gossip and idle conversation all the time- how will you progress? Birds of a fleather flock together. Chickens don’t fly, they eat their own poop and die.

No matter how independent we claim to be- human beings are social creatures. That’s why we see groups of people together – and most times they are dressed alike. Chances are they talk alike, and share the same activities. Do you think they were like that before they met? NO! They met each other and influenced one another.

How did you get to be who you are now? I’ll tell you how. By imitation. Everyone is influenced by others. You were influenced by your parents, friends, and what you learned in school. Successful parents influence successful children. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Why do you think that is? Because that’s where they’re mindstate is. We can’t choose our family, but we CAN choose our friends. Its time to take advantage of the type of power we have. In one way or another- friends follow each other. Tell your friends, “if you aren’t moving forward, I can’t follow you any more.”

I Love You,
Nova Giovanni
